Just across the fjord, make sure to pull over at this simple roadside stop for one of the best panoramic views of Akureyri. From here, you can truly appreciate how the city is nestled against the water with a dramatic mountain backdrop. It’s a fantastic and easily accessible spot for a photo, but the best part for us was opening up our campervan back doors and soaking in the views for a while.
