Sayulita, Mexico

One of the reasons we ended up staying in Sayulita for 3 months was how easy it was to settle into a rhythm of work and play. These are the spots we found ourselves opening our laptops again and again.

Palu Gallery / La Barrita de Sayulita
Our top pick for focused work. No loud music, great coffee, and a peaceful atmosphere that attracts artists and creatives. The long communal table is comfortable, shaded, and cooled by fans, making it one of the most enjoyable places in town to spend a few productive hours.

Anchor Café
My go-to when I know I'll be working through lunch. The two outdoor tables at the front are perfect for getting some work done while still enjoying the energy of town. I've even taken calls here.

Alto Alto
I haven't personally worked from here, but it's consistently recommended by other remote workers. With two spacious levels and a menu full of Mediterranean-inspired breakfast and lunch options, it's a great place to settle in for a longer work session.

Coyote Café
One of our favorite cafés in Sayulita. They open early, and there's something special about arriving before the town fully wakes up. Grab a coffee, find a spot in the courtyard, and enjoy a productive morning away from the busy streets.

Mara Mara Coworking
One of the biggest perks of staying at Mara Mara. I love grabbing a coffee from Alquimista or a green juice from Juicyy before settling in. During high season there's usually a great community vibe, while low season often feels like having a private office all to yourself.

Local tip: Most cafés in Sayulita are welcoming to remote workers, but it's always good etiquette to order food or drinks if you're planning to stay awhile—especially during busy season.
