The Süleymaniye Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey, is an iconic Ottoman imperial mosque commissioned by Suleiman the Magnificent and designed by Mimar Sinan. Built between 1550 and 1557, it is considered a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture and one of Sinan's greatest works. The mosque, part of a larger religious complex, boasts stunning minarets and a grand prayer hall. Over the years, it has undergone various damages and restorations, with the most recent comprehensive restoration taking place between 2007 and 2010 to preserve its original beauty and historical significance.
