Cerro Campanario is the best panoramic view in Bariloche. It's located at kilometer 17.5 of Avenida Bustillos just before the Circuito Chico. While isn't part of that iconic drive/day trip, it's just before the start of the loop so it's usually a good way to start your day if you'll be exploring the Circuito Chico.

To get to the top you will take a chairlift, plan accordingly with bags. I've taken up a backpack before and even my baby in her carrier, but you need to be quick on and off (like any ole chairlift). It's a short ride to the top. Just before you reach the top they'll ask you to smile for a quick tourist photo on the chairlift with the views of the lake behind you. You can purchase the digital version and they'll send it to you via email. The ride down offers the most stunning views since you'll be facing the lake as you descend.

Hike to the top: You can also avoid the chairlift and hike to the top. It is 1 kilometer, calculate 1.5 hours round trip. While it's short, it's fully incline the whole way up. For what it is worth, I love to hike but prefer to save my energy for other trails.

☕Once at the top, there are a few different viewpoints to explore. Immediately to the right is a cafe with delicious cakes and hot chocolate. If the weather is chilly indulge in a cake with a view. If it's warm and you drink mate 🧉, bring yours to enjoy at the top.

🚗How to get to Cerro Campanario: Take the public bus line 20, use your SUBE card to pay. If you drive, go to KM 17.5 on Avenida Bustillos, there is a free parking lot but don't leave valuables in sight when away.
