This guide contains locations that I myself have visited. Rome contains MANY churches, you don't have to visit them all or even most of them but they do contain a lot of history and some even house great pieces of art. I have not been on a trip that was forced into a strict itinerary so we stopped in churches that were on the way to the next site we wanted to visit. Rome is a gift that keeps giving with almost constant archeological work being done. I have also included locations for possible day trips from Rome.
