The Dohány Street Synagogue is the largest synagogue in Europe and one of Budapest’s most important cultural and historical landmarks. Built in the 19th century in Moorish Revival style, the complex includes the main synagogue, the Jewish Museum, the Heroes’ Temple, and the Holocaust Memorial in the courtyard.

Visitors can join guided tours to learn about Jewish history in Hungary, view the impressive interior, and reflect at the memorial garden. Located in the city center, the synagogue is easily accessible by metro and tram and can be conveniently combined with nearby cafés, restaurants, and ruin bars.

Price: approx. 8–12 EUR (guided tour included)
