The refleciton on Divide Lake on a calm day is like other. Makes you understand why they call it the "Patagonia of the North". This is camp #2 in the Tomstone hike circuit. The hike from Grizzly Lake to Divide Lake is a pretty intense day so you will feel like you've earned this view. Follow the well marked path from Grizzly Lake.

Grizzly Lake - Divide Lake Total Distance: 6 km Return Time: 3.5 hours Elevation Gain: 428 m

I'm going to be honest, this is the part of the hike where I've heard so many people consider turning back once they see it but trust me when I say it is worth every step. The hike may not be far but it sure is steep. Heading down the backside of Glisade pass is intimidating and steep but you might find the scree surpsingly easy (and fun) to go down. Be careful while passing through a couple of boulder fields as the rocks shift, that's the most common cause of injury in the park.

-Permits are required + check in before you start your hike, instructions here- https://yukon.goingtocamp.com/TombstoneTerritorialPark -Bear cannister + bearspray is required -Must camp on tent pads -Season - End of June to Early September (end of August for peak fall colors) -Stay ON trails! The tundra is extremely delicate and stepping of the trails with damage the ground. Since this is such a high traffic area it's really important that you stay on trails to preserve the area for future generations to come -Cook shelter and outhouse at each camp -No cell service
