Heaven Valley, located in Ratchaburi only 2 hours away from Bangkok, is a hidden gem that combines the beliefs of Buddhism, Christianity, and Hinduism to coexist on the same mountain. Visitors can explore seven different zones, each with unique religious themes, by climbing 365 steps to reach the top of the mountain. The panoramic views of rice fields and mountains make the trek worth it, especially during sunrise or sunset!

GET HERE:
We stayed in nearby Ratchaburi and then took a tuk tuk 🛺 to Heaven Valley for 600 thb, which included him waiting for us for 2 the hours we were there and then taking us back to the hotel. The drive took ~ 30-40 min each way. I don’t think there’s any public transport from what I could find. You can also easily rent a moped and drive yourself!

Ratchaburi is a great place to stop on the way to either Kanchanaburi or down south. Stay for 1-2 nights and check out Heaven Valley and Hin Khao Ngu Park! Both complete hidden gems.

Alternatively, you could do a day trip from Bangkok. There is a direct train to Ratchaburi that costs around 90 baht one way and takes 2 hours.

❗️You need to be somewhat fit to hike Heaven Valley as there’s a lot of steps and they’re very steep in places. There can also be monkeys around but they are not usually aggressive.
