The Icefields Parkway stretches between Jasper & Banff National Parks in Canada. It is a seriously breathtaking drive that showcases some of the most stunning landscapes in the Canadian Rockies. Genuinely one of the most beautiful drives I have ever done!

On your drive from Banff to Jasper or Jasper to Banff, here are some things you can stop & do:

• Stop at Bow Lake
  This peaceful lake sits beneath INSANE mountains & mirrors the peaks perfectly on calm days. It is an easy place to wander along the shore or take photos!!

• Visit Peyto Lake Viewpoint
  A short walk leads you to an overlook where you can get a great view of unreal shade of turquoise.

• Explore the Columbia Icefield
  The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest ice masses south of the Arctic Circle. You can visit the interpretive center, join guided glacier experiences, or admire the Athabasca Glacier from designated viewpoints.

• Sunwapta & Athabasca Falls
  These waterfalls are perfect stops for stretching your legs along the drive with gorgeous views!

I LOVED this drive. It was one of my favorite stretches on my drive back down to the lower 48 states from Alaska. Take your time & soak it in!
