The Gap in Albany offers dramatic views of the Southern Ocean crashing against ancient granite cliffs. It is located within Torndirrup National Park, where this natural attraction showcases the raw power of nature as waves thunder through the narrow channel between the cliffs.
You will be able to walk along a viewing platform that provides safe vantage points to observe the turbulent waters below and the rugged coastline stretching into the distance. To be honest, I'm not too fearful of heights however standing on this platform was a bit of a thrill and got my adrenaline pumping.
It's a place where you can feel the immensity of the ocean and witness firsthand the forces that have shaped Western Australia's coastline over millennia. I really enjoyed admiring nature's spectacle here and gaining a deeper appreciation for the geological and environmental significance of this iconic site.
