I can admit I’m a sucker for a relaxing spa day, and the Deep Blue Hot Springs in Warrnambool is the ultimate spot for some serious relaxation and rejuvenation. While traveling along the Great Ocean Road, just before my road trip along the Limestone Coast, my sister and I decided to treat ourselves to a morning at these hot springs. It’s not often I indulge in a spa day, especially while on the road, usually, a hot shower alone feels like a luxury, haha! So this was the perfect way to refresh and recharge.
The Deep Blue Hot Springs isn’t super cheap, but the pricing is pretty reasonable compared to other hot springs in Australia. For a 2-hour morning session, it’s $46, and if you want to enjoy the evening sky, they offer night-time sessions for $57 for 3 hours. Just a heads-up, prices do go up a bit on weekends, so if you can, try to visit during the workweek to save a few bucks.
Nestled on the foreshore, the hot springs have multiple pools with varying temperatures that you can hop between, plus a cold plunge pool. My sister and I took our first-ever plunge into the icy water, which was a brisk 12 degrees. We managed to stay in for 60 seconds, definitely not bad for our first attempt! I’d for sure recommend taking the plunge at the end, it made our bodies feel amazing. So if you're up for a romantic getaway or a solo retreat to recharge, Deep Blue is a fantastic place to unwind and pamper yourself.
