I’m Lotta, and I’ve called the Finnish archipelago home for as long as I can remember.

Not just in the sense of having an address here. But in the way cliffs have become kitchens. In the way sea routes have become memories. In the way I can tell the time by how the light hits the pine trees in late July.

For 30 years, I’ve moved through these islands by car, boat, bike — and sometimes just by foot when that was the only way forward. I know the ferry schedules by heart and which cafés will still have warm cinnamon buns after 3pm. But more than that, I know the feeling this place gives you, if you let it.

It’s not just the views. It’s the quiet. The connection. The way life slows down, but somehow expands.

I’ve spent years working with local tourism and creative projects — but at the heart of it, I’m just someone who’s still in love with this place. And I want to share it with you in a way that feels real. Not staged. Not overly planned. Just… meaningful.

We’ll skip the tourist traps. Instead, I’ll show you where to swim at sunset, where to eat with your fingers, where the silence tastes like honey and sea salt.
