Don't rent a car

This is one of the most frequent mistakes in Torres del Paine: renting a car.

It makes no sense, as you can see in my itinerary to do the W, you start in the northern sector of the park and end up in the southern sector.

More than 60 kilometers separate both sectors.

If you enter the park with a rental car, you will leave it waiting without using it and paying the rental fee for 4 or 5 days.

It is preferable to hire the W package that they look for you from Puerto Natales.

And in case you reserve the camping sites yourself it will be even worse because when the W ends in the Paine Grande or Lago Grey sector you will have to hire a private transfer which is very expensive.
