Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris is a magical destination located just a short train away from Paris. It’s a place where fairy tales come to life, featuring two main parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Visitors can explore enchanting lands filled with beloved characters, thrilling rides, and captivating shows. The park is known for its stunning castle, Sleeping Beauty Castle, which serves as a picturesque backdrop for countless photos.
Champagne
Champagne is a region in northeastern France just outside of Paris. Known for its bubbly effervescence and celebratory vibe, it’s made primarily from three grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. The region itself boasts picturesque vineyards and charming villages, making it a popular destination for wine enthusiasts to tour around trying different Champagnes !
Mont Saint Michel
Mont Saint-Michel is a stunning little island commune located in Normandy, France, famous for its breathtaking medieval architecture and dramatic tides. It’s a great day trip from Paris ! Rising majestically from the sea, it’s topped with a beautiful abbey that looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. Visitors are often captivated by the narrow streets lined with charming shops and eateries, all leading up to the iconic abbey. The place has a rich history, having served as a strategic fortification and a pilgrimage site over the centuries. When the tide rolls in, it creates an almost magical atmosphere, making Mont Saint-Michel feel like it’s floating on water.
Lille
Lille is a vibrant city located in northern France, known for its rich history and lively culture. With a mix of Flemish and French influences, it boasts stunning architecture, including the impressive Grand Place and the ornate Vieille Bourse. It’s just a one hour direct train ride from Paris so makes the perfect day trip! The city is also famous for its bustling markets and delicious local cuisine, like the iconic carbonnade flamande. Lille has a youthful vibe, thanks to its large student population, and offers plenty of cafes, bars, and shops to explore.
Brussels
Brussels, often referred to as the heart of Europe, is a vibrant city known for its rich history and diverse culture. And it’s only an hour train from Paris - You can take the train direct here or book a tour. It's the capital of Belgium and serves as the headquarters for many international organisations, including the European Union. The city boasts stunning architecture, from the ornate Grand Place to the modern Atomium, showcasing a blend of old and new. Food lovers will find plenty to enjoy, with famous Belgian waffles, chocolate, and fries tempting their taste buds at every corner.
Monet’s Home in Giverny
Claude Monet's House and Gardens in Giverny is a charming spot that feels like stepping into one of the artist's own paintings. Nestled in the picturesque Normandy countryside, the house is painted a cheerful shade of pink and surrounded by vibrant gardens bursting with colour. Visitors can wander through the meticulously designed flower beds, where Monet found inspiration for many of his famous works. Don’t miss the real waterlilies and Japanese bridge !
Loire Valley
The Loire Valley, located in central France, is a stunning region known for its picturesque landscapes, charming villages, and historic châteaux. Stretching along the Loire River, it boasts a rich cultural heritage and is often referred to as the "Garden of France" due to its lush vineyards and fertile farmland. Visitors can explore beautiful castles like Château de Chambord and Château de Chenonceau, each with its own unique story and architectural style. The area is also famous for its wine production, offering a variety of local wines that reflect the diverse terroir.
Normandy
There are many tours going to Normandy as they’re so much to see ! Already mentioned above are Mont Saint Michel and Monet’s home but there’s so much more to see in the region. Such as Etretat, Rouen and Deauville ! You can book tours from Paris that take you to multiple towns and attractions in Normandy so you can see the best sites - then they take you back to Paris at the end of the day
