My Top 10 Places to Visit in Provence

In no particular order…

1.Aix en Provence

Aix en Provence is my favourite base for your Provence trip ! The city is full of pretty streets, boutique shops and fabulous restaurants. It also has my favourite market I’ve visit in the South of France !

2.Cassis

Cassis is a charming, colourful fishing village just outside of Marseille. This slice of paradise hosts pretty beaches and amazing seafood restaurants. Whilst here you can also visit the stunning calanques.

3.Les Calanques

Les calanques de Marseille are a stunning natural wonder of the South of France ! They really take your breath away with their rocky cliffs and blue waters.

4.Avignon

Avignon is a beautiful city in the heart of Provence, it’s surrounded by charming villages making it a great base to explore. This is a great historical city with a famous castle to explore !

5.Gorge du Verdon

This is one of the most breathtaking places in France ! The natural Gorge is breathtaking, you can rent boats to explore it for the best experience.

6.Arles

This is a stunning city and makes a great base to explore Provence. It’s famous for its artistic links and Roman amphitheatre. Come here for pretty streets and French culture.

7.Lourmarin

This is one of my fave spots in Luberon. Larger than the other villages, it hosts an array of charming restaurants, shops and has a classic Provençal vibe. It’s a great base to stay at to explore Luberon.

8.Gordes

Gordes is one of the most famous villages of the Luberon region and for a good reason ! Nestled across a hill, the view of the town is stunning ! Inside expect cute streets and a buzzing atmosphere. Don’t miss Senaque Abbey nearby too !

9.Roussillon

Another famous village in Luberon, this one is known for its impressive surroundings and fabulous colours. Due to its popularity, it has a vibrant atmosphere

10.Marseille

Marseille is the second biggest city in France making it full of shops, restaurants and historic sites ! Don’t miss its vibrant old port and nearby calanques.
