This is a great itinerary for January and February when there is a break in the rains as it includes the Ndutu Region.
The wildebeest calving season happens in the Ndutu Region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
In the Ndutu Region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Great Migration herds begin to gather.
If travelling outside January and February, you may wish to substitute the Ndutu Region for another area on the Northern circuit such as an additional day in the Serengeti National Park.
