Staying overnight here allows you to start your hike early in the morning, which is the most convenient option. In 2021, I saw two bears walking around the hotel, which was an incredible experience.

Chinohate Hotel is surrounded by pristine nature - the hotel offers traditional Japanese rooms and delicious meals. After your hike, you can enjoy their beautiful outdoor spa for a refreshing wash. Even if you don’t stay overnight, you can use the parking lot to access the Rausu Trailhead and take advantage of the day spa afterward.
