Nachricht von Aron Tómas Guðmannsson

The Well of the Irish, located in Gufuskálar on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland, is a mysterious ancient well dating back to the 9th century AD. Its name comes from its association with the Irish, though the exact reason remains unknown. Lost for decades, the well was rediscovered by chance in 1989 by two men reminiscing about their childhood adventures in the area. Now protected and preserved, visitors can descend into the well and marvel at the huge whalebone hanging above the steps, adding to the well's enigmatic charm.
