Kerlingarfjöll is looks like visiting planet March. The road here is very bumpy so you need a good 4x4 to reach it. It's rather easy to get to the mountain resort, but the last way up to the geothermal area is very steep. If you manage to get there, there's photo opportunities everywhere and as this landscape is something else.
