🇬🇧 In Venice, there are two options for accommodation: choose a hotel in Venice itself or sleep off the island for less money but make the boat trip every day. Personally and having tested both, I much prefer to sleep on the island because it is much more practical and in addition you can take breaks at the hotel, knowing that you have to walk a lot when visiting Venice. So when arriving by plane and since the airport is not directly on the island, you have to buy tickets for the waterbus transfer at the counter after collecting your suitcases (or on the alilaguna.com site, many more practical because it can avoid tens of minutes of waiting) then go to the boat dock at the exit of the airport (everything is very well indicated). Take a return ticket and remember not to lose it throughout your stay, the price is around 27€. Prenez un billet aller-retour et pensez bien à ne pas perdre votre ticket tout le long de votre séjour, le prix est d’environ 27€. Vous pouvez aussi prendre un taxi privé mais le tarif est beaucoup plus élevé.

Arriving by car and for this road trip, I compared dozens of car parks because in Italy they can sometimes be horribly overpriced. In Venice, there are not so many other choices than Piazzale Roma to book on veneziaunica.it for around 24€ per 24 hour period. Ensuite vous pouvez accéder à votre hôtel à pied s’il est dans le centre de Venise.

🇬🇧 When going to Venice, you obviously cannot miss Piazza San Marco which is probably the most populated place in the middle of the day. For my part, I prefer to go there in the evening when there are far fewer people and where the orchestras of the restaurants play each turn for hours. 🇫🇷 En allant à Venise, vous ne pourrez évidemment pas rater la place San Marco qui est probablement l’endroit le plus peuplé en pleine journée. Pour ma part, je préfère y aller le soir où il y a beaucoup moins de monde et où les orchestres des restaurants jouent chacun leur tour pendant des heures.

🇬🇧 For having tested a lot of fresh pasta in Venice, this one is among the best but therefore necessarily very popular. So there are about 15-30 minutes in line but it's worth it. However, there are very few places to sit and it is forbidden to associate in the street to eat in Venice, so it is only suitable if you take your pasta to the hotel to enjoy a break. 🇫🇷 Pour avoir testé pas mal de pâtes fraîches à Venise, celle-ci sont parmi les meilleures mais donc forcément très populaires. Il y a donc environ 15-30 minutes de queue mais ça en vaut la peine. Il y a toutefois très peu de places pour s’assoir et il est interdit de s’associer dans la rue pour manger à Venise, ce n’est donc adapté que si vous emportez vos pâtes à l’hôtel pour profiter d’une pause.

🇬🇧 In addition to a dozen trips to Venice, this hotel is without hesitation the one with the best quality/price ratio that I have done. It is ideally placed for an unbeatable price! I paid €216 for 3 nights with breakfast in August 2021 and there are always offers at around €150 for 3 nights even in the middle of summer. The breakfast is excellent, the staff attentive and the rooms are spotless. Really ideal and I am very happy to have found it because that is where I will return next time. 🇫🇷 En plus d’une dizaine de voyages à Venise, cet hôtel et sans hésiter celui avec le meilleur rapport qualité/prix que j’ai fait. Il est idéalement placé pour un tarif imbattable ! J’ai payé 216€ pour 3 nuits avec petit-déjeuner en août 2021 et il y a toujours des offres à environ 150€ pour 3 nuits même en plein été. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, le personnel au petit soin et les chambres sont impeccables. Vraiment idéal et je suis bien contente de l’avoir trouvé car c’est là que je retournerai la prochaine fois.
