Edith Falls (or Leliyn) is one of those hidden gems that doesn’t always make it to the top of the NT must-do list, but honestly, it should. It’s such a chilled spot to spend the whole day – I reckon it’s one of my absolute favourites.
At the bottom, there’s this huge, gorgeous pool that’s perfect for a swim. The water is fresh and clear, and if you’re lucky, you might even get it to yourself early in the morning. Feeling adventurous? You can climb up the walking track to the upper falls, and trust me, it’s so worth it. The upper pools are like your own private oasis, with stunning views and the sound of cascading water – it’s paradise.
Back at the base, there’s a lush grass area where heaps of people set up for BBQs, so bring some food and make a day of it.
If you’re keen to stay a bit longer, there’s a free camp nearby – perfect for soaking up the stars and making the most of the peaceful vibes here.
