Where you need to be, and when, to celebrate Mongolia's National Naadam Festival in Ulaanbaatar. The festival is held each year July 11 and 12 at the National Sport Stadium in Ulaanbaatar.
Day 1 = July 10
Day 2 = July 11
Day 3 = July 12
Day 4 = July 13
Day 2 of this itinerary marks the date of the National Opening Ceremony in Ulaanbaatar (it's always held on this date). To attend the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the National Sports Stadium, tickets with assigned seats must be purchased. You will need a local tour operator to help arrange tickets in advance. Tickets can be bought at the stadium the day of, but I don't recommend doing this to avoid being scammed!
