Mallorca, Spain

  • High Season (June - August) - this is Mallorca in full swing. Expect hot, sunny weather, lively beaches and a buzzing atmosphere in towns like Palma, Sóller and Alcúdia. It's also when most festivals, open-air markets and nightlife events take place.
Pros: guaranteed sunshine, warm sea (26–28°C), long days, vibrant energy.
Cons: prices are at their highest and popular beaches can get crowded.
Best for - beach lovers, partygoers, families and if you enjoy a bustling summer vibe.

  • Shoulder Seasons (April - May, Sep - Oct) - the perfect balance and my preferred time to go: great weather, fewer tourists and more relaxed prices. In spring, the island is green and blooming; in early autumn, the sea is still warm from summer.
Pros: comfortable temperatures (20–27°C), ideal for exploring villages and enjoying beaches without the chaos.
Cons: occasional rain in October and fewer beach bars or seasonal shops open.
Best for - couples, photographers and if you want a quieter yet still sunny experience.

  • Low Season (November - March) - the quietest time. Beach resorts and restaurants close for the season, especially outside Palma. That said, Palma stays lively, and winter is mild compared to most of Europe.
Pros: lower prices, peaceful towns and a chance to experience authentic local life.
Cons: some days can be rainy or chilly (12–17°C). The beach scene is dormant and swimming isn't ideal unless you're brave.
Best for - off-the-beaten-path, digital nomads or those looking for peace and quiet.
