Honen-in Temple is a hidden gem in Kyoto, known for its beautiful moss-covered gardens and thatched roof!

Here, you can also find a unqiue sand garden that is supposed to purify the visitors upon entry to the temple grounds. Most sand gardens are flush with the ground, but Honen-in has raised and etvhrf variants that are very unique!
