Rovaniemi Airport is the main gateway to Finnish Lapland, located about 9 km north of Rovaniemi city center. It's Finland's third busiest airport, especially popular in winter when visitors flock to see Santa Claus, northern lights, and Lapland’s fells.
Taxi: Quick and easy, around 15-20 minutes to the city.
Airport Shuttle Bus: Operates between the airport and city hotels, timed with flights.
Car Rental: Several rental desks at the terminal—perfect if you're planning a Lapland road trip.
The airport is small and easy to navigate.
There’s a cozy café, souvenir shop, and Santa-themed touches throughout the terminal.
Flights connect mainly via Helsinki, but in high season, you’ll also find direct flights from many European cities.
