I'm here especially for logistics surrounding van and RV travel, those sleeping in cars to stretch the extra dollar (I did it for years until I got my van!). I know where all the showers are, the best laundromats, how to get a campground when it seems EVERYWHERE is booked. I'll let you know some places you can stay if nothing is going right and everything is booked and you're feeling stressed. I'm also here if you have questions about trails, backpacking, being in Grizzly country, where to eat if you're a gluten free, dairy free vegetarian (I know, I know... but if I can figure that out, I can figure out any dietary restriction).

Hi! My name is Emilie and I'm on my sixth year of living in a van. I'm a Canadian American dual citizen, born in Arizona and grew up between Quebec and Florida. I spend my summers in the Canadian Rockies now (June-Oct) and spend the rest of my time either traveling the world or cozied up in the desert. I've been living "out west" for the past 10 years now and couldn't imagine living anywhere else! I love Montana, Oregon, Arizona, Utah (where I called home for 4 years) so much and could probably yap about them until I'm blue in the face.

Up until mid 2025 I was traveling with my special sidekick, Margaret, who was a chihuahua mix that wasn't afraid of anything (not even grizzlies). I'm well versed in crafting dog-friendly itineraries and making vanlife/RV living work when you're traveling with a four legged friend. I haven't had A/C in my van... ever, so I know how important it can be to chase safe climates for them.
