Where to watch Sankt Hans bon fire in Copenhagen

Every year on june 23rd you’ll see massive bonfires all over Denmark, both to celebrate the birthday of John The Baptist (Sankt Hans in Danish), but mostly it’s an old tradition to keep evil spirits away.

Besides the massive bonfires, you can also experience speeches and the traditional ‘Midsommervise’. A very beautiful event!

Come early if you want a good view, as a lot of people gather around the bonfires!
