Lårdalstigen is an exciting and challenging hike located in the mountainous area between Dalen and Lårdal. Hikers can expect magnificent views of the Telemark Canal from the mountain ridge, which is up to 800 metres above the canal. With a total length of 14 km, this hike takes approximately 6-8 hours (or 2 days with camping) and provides an opportunity to experience idyllic nature along the way. There is a beautiful flora, as well as a special geology, along with the legends associated with “Risen og Gygri” rock formations. The Gløstøylnuten peak is the highest point of the hike with 848 masl and offers a wide view of the fjord and surrounding mountains.
