Just a short detour off the main road, you’ll find Hofskirkja, one of the last turf churches built in Iceland. With its grass-covered roof and little burial mounds around it, it looks like it’s growing straight out of the landscape! You can’t go inside, but it’s a beautiful, peaceful stop and a really great spot for photos.
