Bass Harbor Head Light Station, perched on the rocky cliffs of Acadia National Park, is one of Maine’s most iconic lighthouses and it’s especially stunning in the fall!

First lit in 1858, its classic white tower stands out beautifully against autumn’s vibrant foliage and the deep blue Atlantic. This spot is a favorite for photographers, particularly at sunset when the warm light hits the cliffs just right.

Short trails nearby lead to different viewing angles, making it easy to explore without much hiking. If you’re in Acadia during peak leaf season, this is one stop you won’t want to miss.
