This scenic 5.4-mile (8.7 km) out-and-back trail near Bonavista is an easy coastal walk that takes about 2 hours—and it’s full of stunning ocean views the entire way.
Following the shoreline from town toward the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse, the trail offers sweeping vistas of Bonavista Bay, rugged cliffs, and (if you're lucky!) whales or seabirds in the summer and fall. It’s well-marked and mostly flat, making it a relaxing stroll with plenty of photo ops.
Bring a snack and stop at John Cabot Municipal Park or enjoy a picnic along the coast. Best visited from June to October!
