Aabachtobel is a beautiful trail near Horgen, Zurich, that's perfect for a leisurely stroll or a quick run when you don't want to travel far to have an adventure. With its lush forest surroundings and views of Lake Zurich, it's a great spot to unwind and enjoy nature. You might even catch a glimpse of some wildlife along the way! Plus, dogs are welcome on this trail, so feel free to bring your furry friend along for the adventure. Overall, Aabachtobel offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

How to get there:

You can start the trail at Horgen Käpfnach bus stop. or Start the opposite way at Horgen, Waldhof bus stop. That is exactly how I did it. Took the bus to Waldhof and hiked back to Horn train station. The trail was 6.5km long with only 70 km elevation gain.

You will go thru lush forest. The trail is super easy and maintained. Perfect even with children. About midway you find the Horgen waterfall called Aaabachfall. You can find benches around and a place to barbecue even.

Tip: I recommend doing this trail after a rain since the waterfall in summer can dry out.

Getting closer to the ed of the trail you will follow the river and will find a smaller waterfall as well.
