The Aurora Lodge is in a prime location for viewing the Northern Lights during winter, one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. From the lodge, you can often see the Northern Lights dancing across the sky on clear nights.

While it’s not possible to view the Northern Lights during winter, the Aurora Lodge can be a great location for you to rest and rejuvenate. The lodge features a variety of rooms, including private cabins with outdoor hot tubs, and shared rooms with bunk beds for those on a budget.

The lodge is in a beautiful area of South Iceland, surrounded by mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls. The famous Golden Circle route, which includes Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, and Gullfoss waterfall, is only a short drive away.

Currently, their restaurant only serves breakfast, but the buffet has a delicious array of options from locally sourced ingredients and homemade bread.
