Nestled in the heart of the Tramuntana mountains, Biniaraix is a tranquil Mallorcan village that feels like a step back in time. You'll be captivated by its narrow cobbled streets and traditional stone houses, all surrounded by the sweet scent of orange and lemon groves. This idyllic spot is the perfect starting point for one of the island's most famous hikes, the dramatic Barranc de Biniaraix gorge, a stunning trek along an old cobbled pilgrimage path that can take around four hours. Parking is very limited in the village, so it's best to park near Sóller and enjoy the pleasant walk from there.
