The Tasman Glacier Viewpoint is an easy and rewarding stop near Aoraki / Mount Cook. Trekking trails start directly from the car park, where toilet facilities are available.

The Tasman Glacier Viewpoint Walk is a 1.3 km out-and-back trail with an 82 m elevation gain, making it short and manageable for most visitors. From the top, you’ll enjoy panoramic views over the Tasman Glacier and its terminal lake, a unique chance to see New Zealand’s largest glacier up close.
