This cable car travels between the Weggis lakeside village and Rigi Kaltbad, a small village on Mt Rigi.

Mountain station: Rigi Kaltbad (Luftseilbahn)

Open: year round except maintenance breaks in spring (mid March to early April) and late November. Check current timetables.

Timetable

The cable car runs every 30 mins in both directions, or more frequently on busy days. The journey takes 10 mins.

Usually first ride up at 6:40 and last ride down at 19:25. Typically leave Rigi Kaltbad on the XX:10 and XX:40.

How to get there

Mountain: It's a 2 min walk between the cable car station and the Rigi Kaltbad-First mountain train station.

Valley: It's a 10 min walk between the valley station and the Weggis boat dock. Or a 6 min bus ride, but it's hardly worth it since it doesn't drop you right at the boat dock anyway.
