Gebel Al Mawta, also known as the 'Mountain of the Dead,' is a small hill in Siwa Oasis, Egypt, filled with rock tombs dating back to ancient times. The tombs are adorned with colorful wall paintings depicting offerings to Egyptian gods and other scenes. Visitors can explore the Tomb of Si Amun, Tomb of Mesu-Isis, Tomb of Niperpathot, and Tomb of the Crocodile, each offering a unique glimpse into the past. Just a short distance from town, these tombs served as shelters during WWII when the Italians bombed the oasis.
