Best beaches to swim in Manitoba

We've swum at several beaches around Manitoba, and here are the ones we recommend for swimming:

• Sandy Bay Beach (sandy beach)

• Pebble Beach ( Clearwater Lake Provincial Park)

• Victoria Beach (sandy beach)

• Little Limestone Lake Beach (pebble beach)

• Nutimik Lake Beach (Whiteshell Provincial Park - Cliff jumping available, but be cautious, rocks are slippery)

• Steep Rock Beach (Rocky beach)

• Pioneer Bay Beach (sandy beach - Clearwater Lake Provincial Park)

• Camper's Cove Beach (sandy beach - Clearwater Lake Provincial Park)

• Sandpiper Beach (located in Big Tree Park - sandy beach)

• Sunset Bay Beach (sandy beach - Snow Lake)

• Purple Sand Beach (Clearwater Lake Provincial Park - accessible by boat)

• St. Ambroise Beach (sandy beach)

• Elk Island Beach (sandy beach)

• East Blue Lake Beach (sandy beach - Duck Mountain Provincial Park)

• Buffalo Point Beach (sandy beach)

  Note that there are several beaches in Manitoba that are only available via Boat tours.

Also, expect the water to be cold. Even in summer, the lake is cold, not freezing cold, but refreshing.
