Kumano-yu is a very local hot spring located in Rausu side of Shirotoko Peninsula. This is a place where local people come and take a bath. You can get in giving some donation in the donation box at the changing room. The hot spring is very hot, so please be careful. The water temperature is about 50℃, so you should mix cold water from the hose into the bath. The local people are very friendly. Try to talk with them! Overall, Kumano-yu should be a very local experience
