🏜 Itinerario di 5 giorni in Oman con prezzi e dettagli utili 🇴🇲

🌊 Giorno 1 – Muscat tra tradizione e modernità

• Mercato del Pesce di Mutrah 🐟 – Gratis

  Un'ottima occasione per osservare la vita quotidiana e acquistare pesce fresco.

• Suq di Mutrah 🏺 – Gratis (shopping a piacere 💰)
  ⏳ Tempo stimato di visita: 1 ora.
  Un mercato affollato e ricco di articoli artigianali, ma se cerchi souvenir più autentici, visita il Souq di Nizwa (giorno 5). Gli omaniti sono un popolo ospitale e non insistente. Se hai già visitato i souq in Marocco trovarei quelli dell'Oman molto diversi. Perditi tra i vicoli seguendo il profumo dell'incenso.

• Forte di Al Jalali o Al Mirani 🏰 – 3 OMR (~7€)
  ⏳ Tempo stimato di visita: 45 minuti.
  Il forte è visitabile solo sulle mura e offre una vista panoramica sulla città e sul mare.

• Museo del Petrolio e del Gas ⛽ – Gratis
  ⏳Tempo stimato di visita: 1-2 ore.
  Un'esposizione che racconta come il petrolio abbia trasformato l’Oman, perfetta anche per i bambini (da non perdere).

• Corniche di Mutrah 🌅 – Gratis
  ⏳ Tempo stimato di visita: 1 ora.
  Passeggia lungo la Corniche, un'esperienza che offre viste spettacolari sul mare, ideale soprattutto al tramonto.

• 🏖 Spiaggia di Qurum – Gratis
  ⏳ Tempo stimato di visita: a piacere
  Una delle spiagge più belle e frequentate di Muscat, ideale per rilassarsi dopo una giornata di esplorazione.

Tutte le tappe del giorno uno, fatta eccezione per il mercato del pesce, sono visitabili anche nel tardo pomeriggio e al tramonto. Sta a te decidere se passare la mattina in spiaggia o viceversa.

🕌 Giorno 2 – Cultura e mare

• Moschea del Sultano Qaboos 🕌 – Gratis
  Tempo stimato di visita: 2 ore.
  Codice di abbigliamento da rispettare: vedi travel tips. Il consiglio è arrivare il prima possibile per evitare la massa di turisti che ogni giorno visitano la moschea.

• Royal Opera House 🎭 – 3 OMR (~7€) per la visita guidata
  Tempo stimato di visita: 1-1.5 ore.
  Una delle strutture culturali più moderne del Medio Oriente, seguite la visita guidata che vi spiegherà come funziona ed è stato costruito questo gioiello.

• Palazzo Al Alam 👑 – Gratis
  Tempo stimato di visita: 15-20 minuti.
  Splendido da vedere dall'esterno, ideale per qualche scatto ma non accessibile al pubblico. Legato necessariamente al museo nazionale.

• Museo Nazionale dell’Oman 🏛 – 5 OMR (~12€) ingresso intero, 3 OMR (~7€) ridotto
  Tempo stimato di visita: 1.5-2 ore.
  Esplora la storia, la cultura e la tradizione omanita in un museo coinvolgente e ben organizzato. In alcune sale potrai osservare la ricostruzione degli spazi interni del palazzo del sultano visto al punto precedente.

• Spiaggia di Qantab 🏖 – Gratis
  Tempo stimato di visita: 1-2 ore.
  Una spiaggia di sabbia dove rilassarsi e fare il bagno. Frequentata anche dai locali dal tardo pomeriggio. Controlla la marea sull'app Nautide prima di recarti sul luogo.

🏞 Giorno 3 – Avventura tra canyon e piscine naturali

• Wadi Shab 💦 – 1 OMR (~2,50€) per la barchetta di andata e ritorno
  Tempo stimato di visita: 3-4 ore.
  È necessario camminare circa 1 ora (sentiero facile).
  Portare scarpe comode per il trekking e scarpe da scoglio, essenziali per entrare in acqua, così come abbigliamento leggero e costume. Alla fine delle gola, in concomitanza con le piscine, ci sono delle tende/spogliatoio per cambiarsi.

• Bimmah Sinkhole 🏊‍♂️ – Gratis
  Tempo stimato di visita: 30-45 minuti.
  Una spettacolare dolina naturale con acqua cristallina dove puoi fare un tuffo rinfrescante. Da vedere al rientro della passeggiata al Wadi Shab.

🐠 Giorno 4 – Snorkeling alle Isole Daymaniyat

• Escursione in barca con snorkeling 🐢🌊 – 50-80 OMR (~120-200€) a persona
  Tempo stimato di visita: 4-6 ore (incluso il tempo di navigazione e snorkeling).
  Il tour include attrezzatura per lo snorkeling e pranzo sulla barca. Le Isole Daymaniyat sono un'area protetta, perfetta per esplorare la vita marina.

🏯 Giorno 5 – Nizwa e la sua tradizione

  Si svolge SOLO il venerdì mattina presto, quindi meglio arrivare il giovedì sera per poter assistere a questo evento tradizionale.

  Tempo stimato di visita: 1-1.5 ore.
  Una delle fortificazioni più antiche dell’Oman, con una vista spettacolare sulla città e i monti circostanti e un labirinto di stanze interne che include una libreria e un caffè.

• Souq di Nizwa 🏺 – Gratis (shopping a piacere 💰)

  A crowded market filled with handicrafts, but if you're looking for more authentic souvenirs, visit the Souq in Nizwa (Day 5). Omanis are a hospitable and non-intrusive people. If you've visited souks in Morocco, you’ll find Omani ones quite different. Lose yourself in the alleys following the scent of incense.

  Al Jalali or Al Mirani Fort 🏰 – 3 OMR (~8 USD / ~6 GBP)

  The fort is only accessible on the walls and offers a panoramic view of the city and sea.

  Oil and Gas Museum ⛽ – Free

  An exhibition explaining how oil transformed Oman, great for children (not to be missed).

  Mutrah Corniche 🌅 – Free

  Take a walk along the Corniche, an experience offering spectacular views of the sea, especially at sunset.

  Qurum Beach 🏖 – Free

  One of the most beautiful and frequented beaches in Muscat, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploration.

  All of the Day 1 stops, except for the Fish Market, can be visited in the late afternoon and at sunset. It’s up to you whether to spend the morning at the beach or the opposite.

  🕌 Day 2 – Culture and the Sea

  Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque 🕌 – Free

  Dress code must be followed: see travel tips. It’s recommended to arrive as early as possible to avoid the crowds of tourists visiting the mosque.

  Explore Oman's history, culture, and tradition in a well-organized and engaging museum. In some rooms, you can view a reconstruction of the Sultan's palace interiors seen at the previous stop.

  A sandy beach where you can relax and swim. Often frequented by locals in the late afternoon. Check the tide on the Nautide app before heading there.

  🏞 Day 3 – Adventure Through Canyons and Natural Pools

  Wadi Shab 💦 – 1 OMR (~2.60 USD / ~2 GBP) for the round-trip boat ride

  A 1-hour easy hike is required.
  Bring comfortable trekking shoes and water shoes, essential for swimming in the water. Light clothing and a swimsuit are also needed. At the end of the gorge, there are tents/changing rooms near the pools for changing.
