This lake is a bit hidden, but it is very accessible, because it is beside a main road. The lake is located close to the village Leynar. Let’s say you are coming from the airport island (Vágar), you go up from the sub sea tunnel, you see the roundabout and then you will go through a tunnel. When you go out the tunnel you will see a road on the left.

Go in there and you will find the parking spot. Park the car there and go for a walk around the lake. Just be careful if you see many fishermen, don’t make noise and don’t walk close to them. In my opinion this lake is one of my favorites in all the Faroe Islands because of the mountains that surround this lake.
