Khanh Hoi Nha Rong Port, also known as Nha Rong Wharf, is a historic port located in Ho Chi Minh City. Today, it houses the Ho Chi Minh Museum, which commemorates the life and work of Vietnam's revolutionary leader, Ho Chi Minh. The port is significant because it was from here that Ho Chi Minh, then known as Nguyen Tat Thanh, embarked on his journey to find a way to liberate Vietnam from colonial rule in 1911.

If you (like us) are interested in visiting just the port area without entering the museum, it's generally possible to do so. The exterior of the Nha Rong Wharf is an iconic sight with its blend of French and traditional Vietnamese architectural styles. You can walk around the area, admire the historic building from the outside, and enjoy views of the Saigon River. The surrounding area is accessible to the public, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists who wish to explore the riverside.

However, if you wish to go inside the building or explore more of the historic interiors, you'd need to purchase a ticket for the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Visiting just the exterior and the port area allows you to appreciate the historical significance of the site while enjoying the atmosphere of the riverfront.
