• To access from the falls. Walk down the river for five minutes. There is a small rectangular pool, and past the boulders are nice rocks to relax on and get a full body tan

• Best at low flow, mid-week, or early morning when fewer people are around.

Prior Lake (Greater Victoria / Thetis Lake Area)

• Some sections around Prior Lake have been informally used for clothing-optional recreation.

• Especially the quieter shoreline pockets, not the main crowded swimming areas.

• Informal river swimming areas with very secluded river bends near Nanaimo, known colloquially as “Pink Rock Gate.” It's the busiest spot. Turn left at the river and walk a short distance.

• Some visitors choose discreet sunbathing or nude swimming spots away from the main access point.
