Don Wai Floating Market is one of the best local markets near Bangkok—tons of amazing Thai food, riverside views, and a super chill atmosphere. Unlike the super touristy floating markets, this one has a more local vibe, and while the stalls are on land, you still get that riverside charm with boat rides and tons of fresh food.

Yes, it's probably a little gimmicky. But it's so unique, and it's amazing to see!

Why You Should Go:

🍜 Next-level Thai food – This market is famous for its food. Must-tries include roast duck, giant river prawns, crispy pork, Thai desserts, and fresh fruit.
🚤 Scenic boat rides – You can hop on a traditional boat tour along the Tha Chin River—great for relaxing after stuffing your face.
🎭 Not overly touristy – You’ll see mostly locals here, which means authentic food and good prices.

Things to Know:

📍 Location: Nakhon Pathom (about 45 minutes from Bangkok).
Opening Hours: 7 AM - 5 PM, best to go before noon to avoid crowds.
💸 Prices: Super affordable—street food prices, no tourist inflation.
🚗 Best way to get there? Drive or Grab taxi—public transport isn’t great.

If you love food markets and want a more local, laid-back experience, Don Wai Floating Market is a must. Come hungry and be ready to eat everything. 🍤🍜🔥
