Banff-Canada Rockies, Canada

⚠️ The Rockies are rewarding, but mountain hiking here always comes with responsibility.

Before you go

  • Research the trail properly

  • Check the weather

  • Tell someone your route and expected return time

  • Bring water, snacks, layers, and basic safety gear

  • Check for trail closures or wildlife advisories

On the trail

  • Stay on marked trails

  • Avoid shortcuts

  • Be aware of changing weather

  • Respect signs, warnings, and closures

  • Turn around if conditions do not feel right

The mindset that matters most

Your safety is your responsibility. That does not mean hiking here is scary. It just means the mountains deserve respect, even on well-known or easier trails.

My personal rule?

I’d always rather be too prepared - than not prepared enough.

🏔️ Easy trail does not automatically mean risk-free trail.
