Cape Girão is one of Madeira’s most famous viewpoints, perched 580 meters above sea level on one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs. The highlight is the glass skywalk platform, where you can look straight down to terraced farmland and the ocean below. Located west of Funchal, it’s an easy stop on a coastal drive and offers incredible panoramic views of the island’s south coast. The viewpoint is also popular for paragliding and photography, especially at sunrise or sunset.
