What you’ll do

The pearl of the Caribbean, that is the nickname given to Margarita by many foreigners that have visited the island during the last 40 years.

Actually back in the 90's this was the destination by excellence in Venezuela and today is still an island that you should consider in your plans when visiting my country.

Margarita is a big island with more than 1000km2 it has everything you need to spend at least 4 days but honestly you could spend 2 weeks without repeating any plan, beach or restaurant so it´s up to you.

Here you could find malls for those who loves shopping, popular and paradisiac beaches for those who loves the crowds and meeting people and also for the ones who prefer loneliness, amazing international gastronomy and a large list of activities to make the best of your trip to the pearl of the Carribean

On day one you'll flight from Caracas to Margarita, it's only 45 minutes away, so try to plan your flight to be the first one in the morning and after you arrive take advantage and go to the beach.

Depending on your preferences I would suggest you to stay in 3 places.

If you don't want to drive and love water sports you could stay in "El Yaque" the perfect spot to do kitesurf, windsurf, kayak and more.

If you like shopping and parties I suggest you stay in Pampatar where the cultural and gastronomic movement is located also where the pubs and clubs are and the shopping malls.

If you like an all inclusive hotel and literally just want to cross the street to go the beach and back everyday then you could stay in Playa el Agua where you have amazing resorts.

Saying that the first day you could spend it in one of the beaches near to your hotel, or going to the malls, (best one are Sambil and Costa Azul).
