This 8 km loop, starting at the Gloucester River Picnic Area in the Gloucester Tops precinct of Barrington Tops National Park, weaves through ancient Antarctic beech forests, along the cascading Gloucester River, and past the twin cascades of Gloucester Falls, showcasing the plateau’s lush biodiversity.
We drove up in our 2WD van and it was doable but we probably wouldn't recommend it to others. It was a long and slow drive up a narrow and bumpy road! A 4WD is advised post rain or snow.
