Fremantle (or otherwise known as "Freo") is a vibey little port city just 30 mins south of Perth. You’ve got the ocean on one side, heritage buildings on the other, and more live music, markets, and good coffee than you can poke a stick at.

Park up near South Beach, then wander into town for a feed or check out Freo Markets on the weekend, with local eats, buskers, and all the boho gear you could want. If you’re into history, check out Fremantle Prison or cruise the old streets for vintage shops and art galleries. Keen for a beer? There’s no shortage with places like Little Creatures and Gage Roads serving up cold ones right by the water.
