Hamersley Gorge is one of the more remote and spectacular gorges in Karijini. It sits in the north-west corner of the park and is famous for its striking geological formations, especially banded iron folds, fluted rock walls, vivid colours, and serene plunge pools. There’s a famous “Spa Pool” you can swim in but if you want it to yourself make sure to visit just after sunrise as it does get quite busy!

The gorge offers great contrast: wide open views, shade under trees, dramatic cliffs, and water features.

The road there is around 30km of unsealed corrugations so make sure to take it slow and steady!

There is also a FREE campground 5 minutes away from this gorge (Buddhas Overnighter) which we have also pinned on this map!
